What is the Aramis project?
The Aramis project, a collaboration between TotalEnergies, Shell, Energie Beheer Nederland (EBN) and Gasunie, aims to make a significant contribution to the energy transition by reducing CO₂ emissions for the hard-to-abate industries.
What is Aramis & how does it work?
Aramis is a public-private partnership between the state-owned corporations Energie Beheer Nederland (EBN) and Gasunie, and the private companies TotalEnergies and Shell. The project will bring together each partner’s technical expertise, experience, and knowledge of CCS to deliver a decarbonisation solution for our customers.
What is the legal basis for Aramis?
The legal basis for ARAMIS is provided in the ARAMIS Ordinance of 29 November 2013. Additional studies and reports commissioned by the federal administration can be found in the «External studies» database. The ARAMIS database contains information regarding research projects and evaluations that are run or funded by the Confederation itself.
What is the Aramis information system?
The ARAMIS information system consists of a section with information on projects and evaluations that is intended for the general public and a section with additional information for project management that is restricted to internal administrative users.

The Federal Statistical Office (FSO) and the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) are able to use this information, in particular the contractual information, for statistical and other assessment purposes. ARAMIS has been operational since 1997.
