Philippines: Hitachi bags EPC for AboitizPower-Scatec
Philippines investor-owned utility AboitizPower and Norwegian renewables group Scatec have signed a EPC agreement with Hitachi Energy for it to build a 20MW/20MWh battery storage system, set to go online in 2024.
Leyte luzon
Leyte-Luzon is a 440 MW, 350 kV monopolar HVDC link in the Philippines. It transfers power from a geothermal power plant on the island of Leyte to the southern part of the main island of Luzon, feeding the existing AC grid in the Manila region.
