How much does a Picea system cost?

HPS starts the distribution of the Picea system with 54,000 euros – excluding installation in the house. Of course, the hope is that the prices will drop fast with the number of systems produced and installed. Viessmann offer the Vitovalor 300-P for less than 20,000 euros and SolidPower its BlueGen for around 25,000 euros.

Does HPS offer a warranty on a Picea 2?

The design is modular and easy to maintain. HPS takes care of the installation and offers long-term maintenance contracts. The picea 2 warranty explicitly includes all included parts such as battery, electrolyser and fuel cell. The 5-year warranty is optionally extendable to 10 years. We always keep the software of your picea up to date.

How does Picea work?

To compensate for the lack of solar output in winter, picea uses hydrogen (H₂). picea uses excess electricity in summer to produce hydrogen from water. In winter, this process is reversed and electricity is generated from hydrogen. The storage and use is completely emission-free. The energy centre is located in the basement or utility room.
